Who We Are?

HAYAT (Health and Ambulance for Youth and Adults Therapy) is a non-political, nongovernmental organization established in 2020 and registered with the ministry of the economy under the registration number 5458. Our primary focus is improving the health and well-being of mothers and children aged up to 14 in Afghanistan. We recognize significant challenges facing these vulnerable groups, particularly regarding access to healthcare, education, and basic infrastructure.
At HAYAT Organization, we are passionate about bridging this gap by providing the right resources to those who need them most. We aim to deliver high-quality care and education services to all mothers and children in our work areas. We evaluate existing problems and develop solutions tailored to each community's needs. We believe every woman and child should have access to essential healthcare, a safe and reliable living environment, and quality education,
regardless of their social and economic status. Our organization is dedicated to creating an equitable living environment that empowers underprivileged women and children to reach their full potential.
In addition to our work with mothers and children, the HAYAT Organization is committed to promoting general socio-economic development for all vulnerable populations in Afghanistan.

We can create a brighter future for all Afghans by working together and leveraging our collective
strengths.

BACKGROUND

The high mortality rate in Afghanistan over the past two decades is a significant concern, and it's often due to the lack of access to healthcare facilities, particularly in rural areas. For example, in Kandahar, approximately 162 babies are born daily, and the ongoing war in the province has made it difficult for organizations to provide consistent, timely healthcare services. Additionally, many people in rural areas lack awareness of the importance of healthcare. They are hesitant to utilize available services due to cultural beliefs, leading to unnecessary deaths of mothers and babies.

To address this issue, HAYAT Organization was established in 2020 to provide critical healthcare services to those in need. The organization began with mobile healthcare services that could quickly reach rural areas and included a program to raise social awareness about the importance of preventing mortality. By gradually decreasing the mortality rate in Kandahar province through the organization's services, the team identified the need for blood banks in rural areas, and several were established.

Volunteers regularly encouraged blood donation and participated in social awareness programs to increase the number of donors. In addition, the organization launched social media
campaigns to expand blood banks and encourage donations.

The HAYAT Organization's blood bank and mobile ambulance programs have been successful in the Kandahar province. The organization plansto expand its services and reach more people throughout Afghanistan. By 2021, the social awareness program had significantly grown, with more people recognizing the importance of seeking healthcare services and utilizing the privacy services provided by the organization's mobile ambulances. As the demand for healthcare services has grown, ambulances have also increased. HAYAT Organization aims to deliver even more benefits to people in Afghanistan, beginning with the country's southern region.
